Great question - I feel their websites are lacking, but most don't have the funds for marketing - web or traditional methods. Visit www.downtownmesa.com and see if that's a better resource for you - they have lots of photos representing the businesses. For someone like you, on the fence about the drive and visit to the area, plan a day when there is more to entice you. On first Sundays of the month, the three Mesa museums are free and all within walking distance; on Saturdays in the fall there is the MacFest from 10 - 4 all up and down Main St., so you can combine window shopping with a street fair; or visit on a Second Friday night, when there is more activity from the many retailers. Lots of options!

Is there anyway we can help to better mobilize downtown clothing stores? I wonder if they're on the web enough for others to see because where I live in Las Sendas, that's a bit of drive for me to just go see what's out there.

Doesn't matter where you live, many of us enjoy poking around in unique and local shops. Hats off to everyone who is encouraging their communities to patronize these stores. You may be interested in the 3/50 Project that is working to remind people of the importance of shopping local.

As strange as it seemed when I drove up to the Market to meet up with everyone for lunch, I must admit ... this place is AMAZING! Obviously the company was terrific, but the food was really good, the place is very clean and the prices are affordable.

Hope to see you again soon!
